Quality Sources Activity: Students undertake independent research to establish a broad array of knowledge/opinions as to the existence of aliens and alien topics. Students have previously received instruction on how to find a quality source and how to do internet research, but teachers are available to help guide them.Students share their findings by the end of the class; either as a whole-class discussion, or in small groups. Have students keep their research sources till the completion of this unit assignment; they will be helpful for the debate.
Wednesday:
Math- Introduce activity, concept of survey, speak on different aspects including biases, appropriate questions, costs, etc.
Thursday:
Math - Time to work on surveys; provide formative feedback to students on their survey questions

Math - Introduce probability, share Popular Mechanics article, allow students time to refine their surveys
Week 2
Monday:
Math - Introduce charts and graphs, have students visually represent their data
Tuesday:
Introduce Art: Historical representations and Analysis Activity.
Wednesday:
Work time on Historical representations and Analysis Activity.
Thursday:
Wrapping up Historical representations and Analysis Activity.
