Historical Representations and Analysis Activity
Have students compare and contrast 2 or more images from provided or independently researched sources. (provided in the below)
Reference images: Time Magazine https://time.com/4232540/history-ufo-sightings/ (It may be helpful for students to source their own images for this assignment)
After analyzing said images, have students write down and keep points from the questions:
“What strikes you as important?”-
“What is the most prominent information in these images?”
Using the themes presented in the analysis of images, as well as the cognitive research done for this unit, have students depict something that they believe to be evidence or rebuttal of alien existence.
This can take the form of digital or physical media, as it lends itself to the content of this lesson. Encourage students to have their themes also lend themselves to the media that they choose for the final work.
Plans for differentiation/diversity:
FOR THIS PROJECT, SELF ASSESSMENT WILL BE USED. OPTIONAL: Critique
